Summary
In Chapter 1, three months later Tim and Wendy were living at Catawba Hill Farm. Tim froze when he saw an unfamiliar car pull up to him when he went to check the mail. The man who gets out of the car is described as the lisping man who was Sigsby’s boss. He claimed his name was William Smith.
The lisping man said he knew that George and Helen had gone back to relatives. The man noted that Kalisha, Nicky, and Luke were still at the farm. The man warned that it would not be wise for any of the children to talk about the Institute. He also said that he doubted that there actually was a flash drive.
The man told Tim that none of the Institutes world-wide were in operation any longer. The two that continued to operate...
