Summary
In the chapter “The Blind Cub. Her Cross Fox.”, after The Hydra departed, Ada and Evered’s relationship continued to be estranged. They both fixated on their sexual fantasies but never discussed these private thoughts with each other. When Ada’s period came each month she took to sleeping in the bed across the room. Evered was moody and unaware that Ada bled each month. He took her absence from their shared bed as an affront against himself. Despite their strained conversation, when Ada returned to sharing the bed with Evered their nightly encounters resumed.
