Summary

In the chapter titled "Fito. Eighteen. Marcos. Adult?" Sal and Sam give Fito his birthday present. He has a hard time accepting it, but he finally does. Vicente talks to Sal about why he has not been able to finish his college application essay. Sal tells him that he has finished it. Sam burns herself while making tacos and turns it into a dramatic event. Marcos comes in and talks to Sal about his relationship with Vicente. Sal decides that love is a scary thing and he had never really thought about that. He also thinks that he is the type of guy who will get hurt if he falls in love. Later, Sal, Sam, and Fito talk about being in love. They wonder why they need love and Fito says that...
