Summary
Part Four begins with a quote saying that maybe life is a zigzag. In the chapter titled "(Dad) Things we Never Say (Me)," Sal says that he and his father talk a lot, but they still do not talk about everything. One afternoon Sal talks with his father about the hazards of smoking. Then they talk about why they do not have a boyfriend and a girlfriend. Sal blames himself for Vicente not having a boyfriend. He finds out that Marcos was at one time Vicente's boyfriend. Vicente tells Sal why he and Marcos broke up and why it is not Sal's fault. He also says that he loved Marcos and still loves him.
