Wetbridge, New Jersey

Most of the novel takes place in the fictional town of Wetbridge, New Jersey. Billy and his friends reside there and attend Wetbridge High School. Wetbridge is depicted as an average small American town. Billy and his friends live in one of the poorer neighborhoods of Wetbridge.

Zelinsky's Typewriters and Office Supplies is a store in Wetbridge. It is owned by Sal Zelinsky. Billy Marvin and Mary Zelinsky program their video game using a computer on display in the store. At one point, Billy, Alf, Clark, Tyler, and Rene break into the store. Tyler and Rene cause an enormous amount of damage while inside.
