Thomas Covenant

Thomas Covenant is one of the main characters in the story of the Illearth War and a large portion of the story is told from his perspective. Thomas Covenant is a leper in the real world. He had once been a writer, husband and father but when he developed leprosy his wife left him and took their small child. Thomas Covenant has become an outcast in his own community and his barn is set on fire by people in his town that want him to leave. Thomas is pulled to the Land, a magical place that Thomas is sure doesn't exist and is just a dream.

This is the second time Thomas has been pulled to the Land. In the Land he is given the title ur-Lord but is also called the Unbeliever although this is not necessarily a derogatory name. Thomas wears a white gold wedding...
