Chapter 19- 20 Summary
Chapter nineteen has Troy and his men still marching trying to get as much distance between themselves and Lord Foul's army as possible. Thousands of men die, many deaths due to the marching pace that Troy has set, and he is feeling guilty wondering if he will ever be able to sleep again. They have gained only a day on the army thanks to Veremet and Mhoram's spell. They march for a time and are attacked again by flying creatures and demonic-looking things that serve Lord Foul. Troy is attacked by one of the giant flying birds and begins to fight. Troy is able to kill it but the blood of the creature flows over his head and burns clear to his brain. The bird is dead and Troy looses consciousness.
