Chapter 7- 10 Summary

In chapter seven Covenant is awoken by Lord Hyrim who explains that he and Lord Shetra are to go with thirty Bloodguard to aid the giants, although it is thought they may be too late. Lord Hyrim asks Covenant to go with them because Lord Hyrim wants to give the giants all the aid they can. Covenant says he wouldn't be any help, although the real reason is that High Lord Elena doesn't want him to go. As the two Lords and the Bloodguard leave, Covenant thinks of his giant friend Foamfollower, who helped him during his first trip to the Land and asks for forgiveness.

Chapter eight begins with Covenant still struggling with the effect that the Land is having on him. Covenant feels that if he fails he will die and if he succeeds then he won't be able...
