Rolvaag, 5:40 p.m. Britton orders her communications officer to radio for help. Lloyd worries about his meteorite.

Rolvaag, 5:45 p.m. Britton talks to the officials in South Georgia, but learns they cannot offer help until the storm abates. This leaves the Rolvaag dead in the water and drifting in high seas.

Rolvaag, 6:40 p.m. Britton becomes aware that every time the Rolvaag hits a wave, the meteorite is causing it to have trouble recovering. Garza radios to say he does not believe he and his team can stabilize the meteorite. Britton orders that the dead man switch be activated. Lloyd argues and McFarlane backs him up.

Rolvaag, 7:10 p.m. Britton explains to everyone that the ship will break in two if the meteorite is left aboard. Britton says their only chance of survival is using the dead man switch. Finally both...
