Chapters 44-52 Summary
Isla Desolacion, July 21, 12:05 a.m. The team on the island speaks with Lloyd, explaining what has happened and the impact it has had on the recovery effort. McFarlane expresses the opinion that whatever happened was set off by someone touching the meteorite. Lloyd points out he touched it and nothing happened to him. Glinn tells Lloyd that the meteorite has become an unknown and that they should abort the project. Lloyd hangs up on him. Then one of Glinn's men tells him the dead body has blue eyes; therefore, it cannot be the guard they assumed it was.
Isla Desolacion, 12:40 a.m. Glinn sends a team to find the missing guard and learns that Britton is bringing a generator for their use.
Isla Desolacion, July 23, 12:05 p.m. The meteorite is making good progress across the snowfield, the expedition continuing despite setbacks...
