Mitch climbs back up onto the road and comes to a gas station where a careless driver has left her car idling. Mitch checks the backseat before he drives off with this car. Mitch arrives at the Turnbridge House a few minutes late, but the kidnapper allows him inside. Mitch is instructed by phone to go into the kitchen where Holly is waiting. Once there the kidnapper comes into the kitchen and instructs Mitch to open the trash bag and show him the money. Mitch does. The kidnapper begins to talk about Holly's chances for transcendence. At that moment, Holly holds up her hands and shows the kidnapper that she is experiencing stigmata. The kidnapper is distracted by this, giving Holly a chance to shove the nail...
