Part One, What Would You Do for Love?, Chapters 19-21 Summary
Mitch leaves his parents' house and parks at a nearby church. While waiting for the phone call from the kidnappers, Mitch checks out the guns he took from Knox. One is a large pistol. Mitch checks to see how many bullets it has and looks for a safety, but does not find one. Mitch hides this one under the passenger seat. The other is small gun with an ankle holster. This also does not appear to have a safety. Mitch puts it on his ankle.
The phone call comes right at six. Mitch is told to drive to his brother's house and wait for another call. Mitch does not want to involve his brother, but the kidnapper is insistent. Against his better judgment, Mitch does...
