Summary
Tony burst back into Ian's apartment, stating that he has "officially made contact" by getting a job at McBride's Antiques, which was their only lead to the whereabouts of Lorelei Vogt (253). Tony says he can stake out the shop, and he already noticed that there's a German man working there named Mr. Kolb who is likely forging papers for other Germans in hiding. When Tony says he does not think Jordan is involved with whatever nefarious activity is going on in the store, Nina tells him "don't discount just because she's pretty" (256). Despite any squabbles between the three of them, they are energized by making progress on the case. Later that night, Ian joins Nina up on the roof, where she expresses that she "[misses] the night sky" (258). Ian is surprised and impressed when she tells him she was a navigator on bombing...
