Summary
Ian is frustrated that he and Tony weren't able to talk to the woman who used to live in Lorelei Voght's old home, as she slammed the door in their faces. When they return to the office, they find that Nina has created a huge mess of papers, dirty dishes, and her own laundry. Ian confronts Nina about the fact that she's Russian, not Polish, and she does not deny it. When Ian asks if she and Seb were lovers when they met in Poland, NIna tells him no, and that she knows he was gay. As Nina goes on to describe her friendship with Seb, Ian realizes that she did in fact really know his brother. When Nina recounts how Seb was killed, Ian tells her she is "helping [them] hunt down the woman who killed him" (112). Ian tells Nina that they...
