Day Eight: A Disappearance –and a New Clue

I – It is April 11, now a few days before Easter. Supreme Court Justice Jesper Christopher Haraldsen calls K2 to congratulate him about the case. He goes on to say that he finds it unlikely the investigation should continue seeking more evidence when the answer has already been found in the form of an ex-Nazi’s written confession. K2 realizes he is being told to back off without Haraldsen coming out and saying it. He goes on to say that he hopes another murder over or after Easter will cause K2 to redirect himself, and hangs up. K2 then rushes into his boss’s office to explain the situation and the direction the investigation is now taking. K2’s boss fully supports his efforts.
