Summary
In the Epilogue, it is Fashion Week in Paris. Gucci and Yves St Laurent sponsor a joint exhibit at the Centre Pompidou. This is a coup for Gucci as it marks the company’s entrance into Parisian fashion. De Sole manages the event as Ford has to preside over the fashion show on the following day. Things are going well for Gucci. It has acquired luxury brands and hired Alexander McQueen who had worked for LVMH. It also hired other talented designers. The company begins to reinvent Yves Saint Laurent, but doing so is not easy. In spite of Gucci’s victory over LVMH, the conglomerate still wants Gucci. However, Gucci survives as it reports excellent results. Finally LVMH sells its shares. Now Pinault can try to take over the company.
