Mother’s Love
In Johnson’s novel The House of Eve, Johnson illustrates the strength of the love a mother has for her baby both through the stories of the mothers who have had to give up their babies and those who have fought to keep them. In her situation, Ruby recognizes that giving her baby up for adoption is the most loving thing that she can do for her.
