Summary
In Chapter 24, Eleanor told no one about the miscarriage. One night, William told Eleanor that he had found the nun’s business card in her luggage. Eleanor told him that Mother Magdalene claimed they could adopt a baby. They decided to make an appointment to talk about their options. Mother Margaret told Eleanor and William about the girls who had become pregnant and were unable to care for their babies. She said they gladly gave their babies away to families who could take care of them.
