Summary

In Chapter 34, it was Frank’s idea to have a party to send Grace, Annie, and Pilgrim off. Annie decided to get Tom alone during the party and tell him she planned to leave Robert.

Grace, meanwhile, was having fun dancing. She had not lost her balance once and felt beautiful. During a break in the music, she needed to use the bathroom. Since there was a line, she decided to go to the bathroom in the ranch house. Inside the ranch house, Grace heard Diane talking to Frank about a woman who had been eying a man ever since she arrived. Grace was afraid that she knew who they were talking about.
