Summary
In Chapter 19, Annie was settling in to work when Tom knocked on the door. He had two saddled horses with him. At first, Annie tried to say no, but Tom convinced her that she would be doing him a favor by helping to exercise the horses.
Meanwhile, Grace was at physical therapy. She had been angry when her mother signed her up for therapy three times a week because it was more work than was required. Annie had heard that with more physical therapy, Grace might walk without a limp.
In Chapter 20, Grace told Tom that on the day of the crash, she had heard the truck coming, but she thought it was a snowplow. She was angry with herself because had she recognized it was a truck, they would have had plenty of time to get off the road. Grace also...
