Summary

In Chapter 3, three days after the crash Pilgrim was still alive. It had taken Logan four hours and 270 stitches to repair the chest wound. His broken nasal bone was also repaired surgically. Pilgrim was still terrified and lashed out when anyone tried to come near him.

After eight days, Grace was still in a coma. Crawford Gates, Annie’s boss, had told her not to come back to work until Grace had recovered. Meanwhile, Robert and Annie had been encouraged to take an active role in Grace’s recovery.
