Book 10 Summary and Analysis
"In The Name Of Our Lord Jesus Christ Here Begins The Tenth Book". This book begins with some dramatic information about how relics were relocated. There was a major flood in the city of Rome which dislodged a great deal. One survivor, who was transported to Gregory's terrain, described the severe damage to the Catholic temples of the area, including stored goods - treasures of food as well as artifacts of various kinds. During the flood a giant serpent appeared and the entire event culminated in the arrival of a plague. After the death of Pelasgius who was the bishop for the city, deaths from the disease were more widespread.
