Lucky Trimble

Lucky Trimble is a ten-year-old little girl who feels like she has the weight of the world on her shoulders. She does have more problems than the average little girl and internalizes a lot of the fears and uncertainties she has about her life thus far. Two years before the story begins, Lucky had lost her mother. She had gone outside after a rainstorm and stepped on a power line that has collapsed after a rainstorm. Lucky doesn't know her father since he left her mother before she was born. Her father didn't want children even though he had one on the way. Lucky doesn't understand her father's attitude and she has anger and resentment toward the mother who abandoned her.
