Summary

In Chapter 18, Tsunami and Glory remain near the boulder to watch for the monster. They agree it would not be fair of them to put an inept queen on the SandWing throne. Tsunami insists Glory is an integral part of the dragonets even though she is a RainWing. They hear noises. Tsunami cannot see through the dense trees. From another direction, someone begins whistling a song about the dragonets that has become popular. The other sounds stop. Glory and Tsunami discover Deathbringer is whistling. Glory and Deathbringer banter. Deathbringer says he hopes he can find an “alternative” to killing Glory. When they threaten to tie him up and leave him for the monster, he sarcastically begs them for his life. They tie him up with vines. Glory is certain Deathbringer scared away the monster on purpose.
