Summary

Part Two is titled Sand, Ice, and Smoke. In Chapter 11, Glory thinks about the history of this place. Eighteen years ago, a scavenger killed the SandWing Queen Oasis while stealing her treasure. Oasis's three daughters – Burn, Blister, and Blaze – have been fighting over the throne ever since. Burn holds the castle and Blaze is in the Ice Kingdom. Glory and Clay, realizing they are near the Ice Kingdom, decide to try to meet her. When they return to the Rainforest, the dragonets discuss the possible purpose for the magic tunnel. Jambu says life in the Rainforest is perfect, meaning RainWings had nothing to do with creating the tunnel. He knows nothing of animus dragons or scrolls. Glory is upset that the RainWings have no interest in the outside world. They discuss destroying the tunnel but decide against it, partly in case they need...
