Lakshmi’s House
Lakshmi’s House is an important setting at numerous points in the novel, even though it remains incomplete. It is where she first meets Radha and Hari and learns about the death of her parents. It represents her dream of becoming her own person and creating her own future. This is also where Parvati confronts her about sleeping with her husband.
