Summary

Marv Skrupskelis travels to Philadelphia to meet with Isaac, whom he asks for assistance in the shul’s water problem. Marv explains to Isaac that Plitzka is stealing water from the reservoir, and Isaac tells Marv that he can fix the water problem if Marv can find union men to work a train that runs to and from Pennhurst.

Fatty commissions Big Soap and Rusty to help him connect the shul pipes. Just after accepting the job, though, he learns from Paper that Nate has decided to make his move on Pennhurst. Meanwhile, Nate prepares for his meeting with Bullis that night. Fatty comes by to help Nate transport some parade supplies to Moshe’s basement and confesses to Nate that he has accepted work repairing the shul’s pipe.
