Honda

Stan and Charmaine live in a Honda at the beginning of the novel. The Honda is described as being cramped, smelly, and full of the few possessions that Stan and Charmaine hold. The Honda represents what they believe to be their lowest point early in the novel, but they have no idea how far they have yet to fall. The tragedy of being forced to live in their Honda also means, however, that Stan and Charmaine truly only have each other, and so they value the other more for this.
