Summary

In Chapter 78, Avery woke with tubes connected to her body. She thought that she was in the hospital. She soon realized she was in her room and Max’s mother, a doctor, was taking care of her. Max told Avery she had been in a coma for seven days.

In Chapter 79, two of Oren’s men had been killed by the bomb. He told Avery she would have been dead if she had been two steps closer. Alisa told Avery that the bombing had been done by a professional, but it had been traced back to Skye and Ricky. Alisa also said the results of the DNA test on the beer bottle indicated that Ricky was her biological father.
