Summary
In Chapter 66, the following morning, Oren told Avery that Eli had been dismissed because he was the one leaking information to the press. Oren believed Eli was also responsible for the heart and the snake.
In Chapter 67, Avery went to Tobias’s study to wait for Libby and Nash. Oren went with her. He pulled his gun when Zara surprised them. She demanded to know what Avery and her nephews knew about Toby. Together, the four of them told her the story.
Libby and Nash had arrived and said they located Nash’s father as well as a vial of purple powder at Cartago. Avery knew the powder would decode the message that Tobias had left at True North.
