Summary

In Chapter 53, Libby called Avery to tell her that Toby left a message for her. The message simply asked Avery to stop looking for Toby.

Avery was angry because she believed Toby was her father, but it appeared he did not want anything to do with her. She went back to Toby’s wing where the Laughlins had re-erected the wall. Jameson met her there and saw how upset she was. He asked what she needed. She said that she needed the wall down.

In Chapter 54, once Avery and Jameson were inside Toby’s wing, Avery kissed Jameson. As they were kissing, she did not feel alone for the first time in her life.
