Summary

In Chapter Four, Nadiyaa set up the Zār ceremony at the tram. Hamed and Onsi played the drums while Nadiyaa, the eunuch (Fahima), and a few other women enacted the ceremony. They danced to try and speak with the djinn. The creature turned from smoke into a little girl. Suddenly, the little girl turned into a hag and attacked Nadiyaa. Her djinn, Jizzu, who was a personal djinn that had attached itself to Nadiyaa and her family for generations, stood in front of her and protected her from attack. The hag pushed Hamed aside and attacked the other women, ripping their clothes off. When Fahima stood between the hag and the women to protect them, the hag attacked Fahima and ripped her metal parts. After, the hag cursed Nadiyaa in a strange language and then turned back to smoke and floated back...
