Lucinda "Lucy" Hutton (AKA Shortcake)

Lucy Hutton is a young woman in her twenties. She grew up in the country on a strawberry farm with her mother and father, who are still married and who she loves very much. She always felt sad that her mother had given up her dreams of being a journalist in order to get married and have children. When had always loved reading and wanted to be a librarian until she took a field trip to a publishing house and decided that she wanted to work on creating books when she grew up.
