Chapter 22 Summary and Analysis

In Chapter 22: The Last Seal, Nouriel explains to Ana that he was too preoccupied with the matter of eternity to worry about why he was given the first seal. After getting his life right with God, Nouriel tries to make sense of everything that happened to him, finding it impossible to return to his former life when he is burdened by the knowledge and feels the need to warn others. Examining the seal, he notices that it appears to have letters, not images, so he translates the Paleo-Hebrew writing into Hebrew and asks a friend to translate it for him, ending up with "Blessed of God is the son of the Light of God, the declarer" (page 240), but he still does not understand what it signifies.
