Chapter 19 Summary and Analysis
In Chapter 19: The Mystery Ground, Nouriel inspects the first seal with a magnifying glass, finding a crown on a box in the right-hand corner of the wall, and though his research is futile, a documentary on television informs him that the symbol is for the Temple of Jerusalem. He cannot find anything about a comparable holy place in America, but just as he gives up, he dreams about King Solomon addressing the crowds in front of the Temple. Solomon turns into George Washington who plucks a paper from the sky, tucking it between two stones before disappearing, but Nouriel wakes before he can read the paper. After weeks of fruitless searching, Nouriel encounters the prophet who explains that the Temple of Jerusalem was the house of God's glory but was allowed to be destroyed in judgment in 586 B.C. after years...
