Summary

Chapter 26 picks up in May of 2019. It has been seven months since Sera's surgery. She is jogging some, but she does not jump at all for fear of snapping the tendon again. USA Gymnastics hired and then fired a new director of sports medicine. Sera prepares for the GED. Sera and Lucy text sometimes. Sera begins to work in the gym again but knows she will not make a full return without someone to push her. She goes to see Lou who does not seem welcoming. Sera says he does not have to believe in her because she will pay for his time, meaning this is a job. Sera is not interested in college gymnastics or retirement.
