Summary

Chapter 12 opens at a restaurant named Lulu's. Maisie does not want to order from the kids' menu, but Patrick says she will miss childhood if she rushes growing up. They argue whether their new dog, Marlene, should be inside while Grant questions why he cannot watch YouTube. Patrick hates what social media is doing to society and how everyone is lonely despite constant connections. Grant realizes Patrick could film them on YouTube, but Patrick says everyone there is performing without reason. Patrick always felt empty when watching his own shows, so he worries that will happen to the kids. However, he realizes the camera might give them more courage to talk about their emotions. The three take pictures making jokes with cotton candy. As he goes to send it to Greg, Patrick wonders if his brother can even see it. He then agrees...
