Part 1: Chapter 15-16; Part 2: Chapter 17-18 Summary
Chapter fifteen starts with Thomas in Prague. Prague is where Sarah Woolf was and Prague is where the Americans had sent Thomas for the beginning of "Operation Dead Wood" meaning the plot to set up a terrorist situation in order to test their state-of-the-art helicopter weapon. Thomas spent the few days before leaving for Prague with Ronnie drinking tea and holding hands after Philip had abandoned her with the excuse of having business to attend to.
Once in Prague Thomas begins to be trained for his part in Dead Wood. Thomas will talk to his different instructors and with shock and dismay realizes that none of them truly know what Dead Wood or the Graduate Studies are about.
