Summary
As Liborio and Truddy are preparing for the fight, the man in the flat cap approaches them and tells him they do not use masks anymore in the amateur circuit because they cause more injuries than they prevent. Truddy thinks he is lying to them and so they decide to keep the mask on anyway. Two men who Liborio refers to as dappers come into the changing room and ask him for his name. With the mouthguard in place, the dapper cannot understand him, but it does not matter, as they opt to use the names of the two boxers Liborio is subbing for in the general announcements anyway.
Liborio can barely walk in the boxing shoes, and is overwhelmed by the lights and sounds of the audience in the ballroom. He makes his way to the ring and realizes this...
