Lobbi a.k.a Arnltjótur Thórir

Lobbi is a 22-year-old man who is moving to take a job at a monastery to restore a once world-renowned garden. He has been living with his father and twin brother at the family home in an unnamed Scandinavian country. During his travels, Lobbi thinks he has food poisoning, but ends up needing an appendectomy. He communicates regularly with his father via telephone. The family is still mourning the loss of Lobbi’s mother.

Lobbi has a daughter from a one-night-stand with Anna, a young woman in which his friend was interested. Lobbi does not have a relationship with his daughter until he moves to the monastery and Anna asks him to care for the girl while she finishes her graduate studies. Lobbi befriends Father Thomas at the monastery and turns to him as he begins to develop feelings for Anna...
