Summary
Chapter 29 finds Lobbi and the girl at the end of their trip. She invites him to stay overnight in her apartment. She warns him that her roommates are vegetarians.
In Chapter 30, Lobbi tries not to wake up the roommates as he writes a thank you note to the girls before leaving. Back on the road he is happy to be alone. He continues to think about “the connection between myself and my body” (105). He remembers making Icelandic haggis with his mother while talking to his dad on the phone. He continues his trip, navigating the sharp turns on the roads.
In Chapter 31, Lobbi reaches the village where the monastery is located. He goes to the guesthouse and meets Father Thomas, who asks what language Lobbi would like to speak. Father Thomas explains he is multi-lingual. He asks Lobbi about what he is able...
