Summary
In 2015, Fiona looks at one of Richard’s photos of Ranko Novak and wonders why Nora was so obsessed with him. That week there are terrorist attacks at a rock concert in Paris. Fiona is terrified for Claire, though she tries to tell herself that there is no way Claire was at a heavy metal concert. In 1986, Roman and Yale have continued sleeping together. Cecily still has her job and Yale, to help preserve the exhibit, has deleted a portion of the taped interview with Nora in which she admits that she did some of the painting for Ranko Novak. Yale’s father calls just as Yale is preparing to go to a gay pride parade. Yale is impatient with his father when he mentions the AIDS epidemic. At the parade, Yale learns that Roman has a reputation for sleeping with other people...
