Part 4 Summary

The fourth part begins with a quote from St. Matthew 16:26 which asks what a man profits by gaining the world but losing his own soul, and this is followed by a page filled with headlines about the revelation that Josh is Larry. Josh's life stops resembling reality the moment betagold steps into the living room, changing his life forever. "Josh Swensen died that day. [He] just didn't know it yet" (p. 147).
