Summary
Peg arrived at Nóra’s door to calm her and tend to Micheál at the start of Chapter 7, “Dock,” and Nóra shared with her the rumors that Micheál was a changeling. Mary made her way to the Flesk to gather dock leaves for Micheál’s nettle stings. She thought about the darkness she sensed in Nóra when she beat the nettle into the child’s legs. On her way back to the cabin, she fell and twisted her ankle. Nance found her sobbing in fear and longing on the ground and helped her back to her cabin for healing. Mary shared the incident that had passed between Micheál and Nóra, and Nance traveled back to Nóra’s cabin with her to assess him.
