Chapter 10 Summary
Frank reports to Laurence that he and Zanele had dinner at Mama's, but he doesn't tell Laurence anything about the Brigadier incident. When Zanele and Frank meet again, she is very formal and distant.
Frank drives into town to call his estranged wife, Karen, ostensibly for no reason at all except to hear her voice. Karen tells him that the divorce papers are ready for his signature. At first Frank doesn't even realize what she is talking about because the divorce is the furthest thing from his mind. However, he tells her that he is done running and will come to sign the papers. Dejected, he goes to Maria's. Maria asks him why he hasn't been to see her in the past few days and he tells her that he's been too busy at work. Frank then asks why she didn't tell him...
