Summary

In Chapter 13, El and her friends went to Beijing. They found out that the enclave was using Liu as a sacrifice to rebuild their enclave. Worse, they realized that enclaves were built by sacrificing a pure mana-user in a terrible torture device to create a maw-mouth. On their way to the enclave, El and her friends met the Seventh Sage of Beijing, who had founded the enclave, and he gave El a golden scroll that he said would help her find Liu. El wanted to kill the council when she saw what they were doing to Liu, but instead she decided to offer to rebuild their enclave for them if they let Liu go.
