Book 7, Chapter 25 Summary
Francesca serves breakfast to Uncle Mike, his kids Mary and Tony, her husband, and little Sonny. Mary calls Billy "Bee-Boy," which is endearing coming from the child, except that she picked up the habit from Kathy, who apparently calls Billy that behind his back. Francesca thinks Michael's a wonderful father. She hasn't seen him since his divorce. The divorce concerns her a lot, because of her own situation, and because her family is Catholic and doesn't believe in divorce. Michael proposes a toast to love, and everyone raised a glass; only Billy's participation was half-hearted. When the guests leave, Francesca finally decides it's time to break the taboo about discussing her family. She asks Billy why he doesn't like Michael. Billy doesn't answer. Later that night, they make love for the first time in a while. Afterwards, in bed, Billy answers...
