Summary

In Chapter 75, Direct Care tells Anna that her date night pass has been approved. She is resolute that she will comply with the outing rules. During her session with the nutritionist, in Chapter 76, Anna plans what she will order at the restaurant. In the following chapter, Anna struggles to follow her meal plan. She attempts to hide her eating disorder behavior behind normal eating habits, but eventually Anna places the order she agreed upon with the nutritionist.

The narrator talks with Julia in Chapter 78, and thanks her for recommending the Italian restaurant. Julia confides that after she was raped, she used binging and purging to cope with her trauma. The women commiserate on their exhaustion and the difficulty of being in treatment. Chapter 79 consists of Anna’s Treatment Plan update. She is allowed to remove her nasogastric tube.
