The Cabin

At the beginning of the novel, Cady finds herself in a cabin in the mountains. While she remembers nothing at first, later she remembers that it was her family's vacation home. This cabin is burned to the ground by Elizabeth, Nowell, and Brenner. Inside the cabin was a dead chimpanzee that they had experimented on.

James's Apartment

When Ty needs to find a place to take Cady to hide from the men, he takes her to James's apartment. Cady finds the apartment to be nice, if not on the shabby side. She understands that both boys are on their own.

Z-Biotech

This is the company that is preparing to create a doomsday virus. It is also where Cady and Ty must go if they are to obtain the vaccine that will save Cady's brother, Max. This is where the final showdown and climax of the novel take...
