Summary

Chapter 29

They reach Portland, get Burger King, and stop at a payphone. Ty calls the hotel where they know Cady's aunt is staying, and asks for Elizabeth Quinn. Ty tells Cady when he returns to the vehicle that her aunt is relieved to hear she is okay and that she knows what is really going on. They go up to her room where her aunt answers the door, and immediately hugs Cady. She asks Cady what happened, and Ty explains again that Cady doesn’t have any memory.

Elizabeth quizzes her on what she remembers, and hints that Ty should go. He says he is going to stay. Elizabeth says this is extremely dangerous and he shouldn’t get involved. Ty answers by promptly sitting down in one of the chairs in the room.
